The Painter performs various coordination activities to support company operations and maximize company revenue and profitability.

The ideal candidate for this particular opening has a minimum of 3+ years of prior industrial (wet paint) painting experience; can demonstrate an understanding of mixing paints and the proper use of paint spraying equipment; is proficient in the use of air and electrical power tools; has prior experience in material handling and shipping/receiving; has a proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment and completing work with a sense of urgency; and can portray a cordial and welcoming demeanor toward coworkers and customers

  • Be able to use, clean, and maintain industrial painting equipment
  • Be able to follow directions, read shop drawings, adhere to paint specific data sheets, and complete the paint inspection
  • Perform in-process inspections on work accomplished.
  • Clean and maintain equipment to keep in good working order.
  • Setup and operate electrostatic paint gun as well as cup guns.
  • Select the paint or coating needed for the job
  • Clean and prepare surfaces in a manner that promotes proper paint adhesion.
  • Read Technical Data Sheet and apply the necessary recommendations to achieve the desired finish.
  • Apply paint or coating
  • Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and paint booth.
  • Apply two-part epoxies, enamel, and urethane paint.
  • Prepare stock forms for storage at the warehouse
  • Perform preparation for painting process, including cleaning and degreasing of all forms and parts
  • Assist Operations with assembling forms for shipping by assembling all components with help of power and hand tools
  • Examine palleted finished product to ensure conformance with company specifications.
  • Operate forklifts, cranes, and hand-trucks to move, convey, and hoist products into paint booth, loading docks, etc.
  • Participate in opportunities of cross-training in other areas of Operations
  • Participate in other duties related to the manufacturing, assembling, and preparing of forms as necessary
  • Apply custom paint finishes to our wide array of cylinders, valves, accumulators and balers
  • Hang and remove product from paint carts per procedure using the proper hooks or racks
  • Perform and maintain high quality throughout all phases of painting operations
  • Cleans, deburrs, and prepares wide variety of machined components for final assembly

Minimum Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ year of previous related painting experience
  • Knowledge of paint guns and automatic spray equipment, paints, and thinners
  • Knowledge of the industrial paint industry and manufacturing industry.
  • Painting experience with liquid paints.
  • Attention to detail
  • Accountable for achieving production goals and benchmarks.
  • Ability to be flexible and open to a wide variety of tasks and provide support when needed.
  • A desire to work in a small team-based environment and contribute immediately
  • Must be self-reliant and ready to work on all aspects of the position
  • General knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions required in manufacturing setting.
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective computer skills
  • Should have a demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, changing work environment.
