Plant Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the company President, this role will be a key member of our company leadership team developing our manufacturing strategy, value stream map and growth plan
  • Manage current two shift manufacturing operation
  • Develop and track KPIs for Manufacturing to be reviewed at daily SQDC shopfloor meeting and presented at weekly leadership team meetings
  • Oversee capacity/utilization metrics and develop plans to add staff, shifts and equipment as needed to meet growing customer needs
  • Participate in development of manufacturing processes for new customer offerings along with engineering team
  • Make recommendations and participate in analysis of new equipment purchases and an updated plant layout to expand capacity, increase efficiencies or expand manufacturing capabilities
  • Be a change agent to drive a culture of operational excellence throughout our plant and organization, demonstrating the diplomacy and tact to manage the change candidly but professionally with both peers, reports, and company President/Board
  • Lead Kaizen and other improvement events to redesign work cells and processes to increase efficiency
  • Participate with finance in annual budgeting process and monthly forecast updates
  • Participate in costing of significant quotes and orders
  • Oversee administration of safety program along with established safety committee and HR
  • Oversee and develop plant quality program
  • Reduce backlog and return delivery to historical performance of +95% on time
